CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

MMA Conditioning: Our most popular class! Warm up, do 15 - 20 minutes of MMA technical training followed by a 30 minute high intensity workout. Prepare to sweat and learn something new! No previous experience required.

Grappling: Grappling technique, drills, and rolling. Based on catch-as-catch-can wrestling. No previous experience required; all skill levels welcome

Kickboxing: Striking technique, including footwork, boxing, kicks, clench, and head-movement. Based on an amalgam of Chinese Kickboxing (San Da), Muay Thai, American Kickboxing, Filipino Boxing, and Olympic Boxing. Includes a short conditioning workout. No previous experience required; all skill levels welcome

Thai Pads/Focus Mitts: Boxing, kickboxing, or MMA combinations practiced with a partner using Thai Pads. There is little technical instruction in this class and participants must know foundational punches, head-movement, kicks, and pad-holding technique to join this session. Kickboxing experience and permission from instructor required.

Kali: Kali and Eskrima are Filipino martial arts which include stick and knife fighting as well as "dirty" boxing. Taught by Filipino Combat Systems Guro Mike Jennings, these classes are highly technical and very physical. Dirty Boxing: Anything goes in this blended martial arts training! A combination of boxing, Kali, Wing Chun, clench, take-downs, and submission wrestling, this very rigorous training session is a true mixed martial arts class. Techniques and drills may include empty-hand training as well as weapons, cage work, and the Mook Jong (Wing Chun dummy). No previous experience required; all skill levels welcome

Weightlifting

All members may use the weight room at any time with some restrictions (see below). The lifting area is open during business hours only. Members can access the gym with a door code to let themselves in during business hours.

Open Lifting Rules:

1. No Olympic lifting

2. No dropping weights

3. No kipping pull-ups

4. No headphones or phones in the lifting (and definitely no filming without Coach permission)

5. Open access is for the lifting area and bathrooms only. Do not disrupt the on-going class on the mats.
